A man from Wyoming (USA) was arrested for being drunk on public roads and assured that he came from the future to warn citizens about an alien invasion.
The man was arrested around 10pm in Casper, Wyoming, last Monday and was identified as Bryant Johnson, who claimed to have come from the year 2048 with the mission of informing us about the arrival of invading aliens within a year.
He then said he wanted to speak to the city's mayor and told police he could travel through time because aliens had pumped his body full of alcohol before stopping on a huge platform that transported him back to 2017.
He went on to say that he was supposed to be
transported to 2018, but ended up landing a year earlier. Police said Johnson's
eyes were swollen and watery, his speech was slurred and he smelled strongly of
alcohol. He was taken to the emergency room, but was quickly removed from the
emergency room as he was causing problems. Police performed a breathalyzer test
on Johnson and revealed that his blood alcohol content was 136 and he was
automatically arrested.
Although the police, and no one else clearly, believe that Johnson traveled through time, recent studies suggest that time travel is possible.
Talking about time travel is nothing new, as it was Albert Einstein who first proposed traveling at the speed of light away from Earth, this would reduce time for the person traveling and people on Earth would see time at normal speed.
Many physicists claim that time travel is not only possible, but has already happened. Astronaut Sergei Krikalev would be in the future by 0.02 seconds after spending 804 days in space, thanks to time dilation.
Sure, if Johnson had encountered aliens in the future and they had superior technology, perhaps time travel would be a common occurrence by 2048, but in the meantime, we are left to wait and live in the present. Listening to or reading these kinds of stories keeps our minds free from everyday problems.
